Von Kleist: “The semi-submerged toaster signifies family life in the morning, before everyone heads off. After years of loyal service its time had come. There was a smell of burning. Nothing could be done, our faithful morning comrade had turned into a stuffed specimen. The little dinosaur symbolizes the human factor. Colourful fantasy wires connect the few active electronics that were inside the apparatus to its pivotal nerve centre … a final salute to an old friend.

And yes, the bread is real! Many people try to touch it to make sure.”
